Riverhead Brewing Company is looking for a dependable, positive person to join our kitchen team!

Our kitchen is a little different. It's small, dynamic, and right in the heart of our taproom, behind the bar. We serve some of Kingston's favourite pizza, along with sandwiches and bar snacks, in a fun, social environment where great food and great customer experiences go hand in hand.

If you have some kitchen or food-service experience, enjoy working with people, and are willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

The most important thing? We're looking for someone our team can count on. Someone who arrives on time, takes responsibility for their work, communicates when needed, and is ready to pitch in.

 

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking pizzas, sandwiches, nachos and other menu items

• Completing food preparation and keeping up during busy service

• Maintaining food quality and safe food-handling practices

• Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized

• Completing opening and closing duties

• Interacting with customers and contributing to a welcoming taproom atmosphere

• Supporting your teammates and helping wherever needed

 

What we're looking for

• Some kitchen or food-service experience is an asset

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Reliability and punctuality — showing up for scheduled shifts matters

• The ability to stay organized and productive during both busy and quieter periods

• A team-first attitude and willingness to help with all aspects of kitchen work

• Comfort working in a customer-facing environment

• A commitment to cleanliness and food safety

• A valid food handler certificate is an asset, but not required if you're willing to obtain one

• A smart-serve certificate is an asset, but not required if you're willing to obtain one

 

What we offer

• $20.00 per hour, plus fluctuating tips

• Approximately 20–25 hours per week
